BIOGRAPHY
Ann Fischer is a teacher, photographer and writer who lives three hours north of Toronto Ontario in the tiny town of Washago, smack in the middle of two acres of rock, trees and water.

She has taught English and English as a Second Language in community colleges in Toronto and Simcoe and at York University, and was a teaching assistant at the University of Toronto while working on her Masters in Education. She now works as a learning consultant in Simcoe County.

More importantly she's a fanatical Scrabble player and maniacal knitter who occasionally writes short stories, some of which have been published in two collections (Someplace Else and The Best of Skive). She won first prize in Skive's International Fiction Contest in 2005 for her story Rain, A Quiet Street and Amber, and has had another story picked for inclusion in Super Angst, a follow-up to the teen cult hit anthology Teen Angst. Other stories have been published in print and on-line in Canada, the United States and Australia.

She writes with The Cadenza Collective out of the UK.
