K. J. Stevens is 29 years old. He was born and raised in Maple Ridge, a rural township in Northeastern Lower Michigan. He's written three books. Introspection, a chapbook of poems. Corvallis Road, a collection of short stories, and most recently (May 2002), A Better Place - a collection of short, literary fiction. Currently, K.J. is living in Minneapolis, MN, and working on another short story collection. The Throw Away is one of the stories featured in the new book.
