BIOGRAPHY
David B. Barnes spent over thirty years as a law enforcement officer: two in uniform, twenty-eight as a Special Agent for the North Carolina State Bureau of Investigation. After retirement he worked as a Professional Standards detective and a gang investigator. After retiring from the NCSBI he and some partners operated B&B Tobacconists in Asheville, N.C.

In 1971 he graduated from the University of North Carolina at Asheville with a BA in Political Science, and in December of 2019 he received his Master of Liberal Arts and Sciences degree from UNC-A.

He writes stories of the other side of life: criminals and people who aren’t mainstream. He makes no judgments just tells the stories.

David is married to his wife of forty-five years and takes frequent walks with his yellow Lab, Crew.
