
BIOGRAPHY
As a short fiction writer, Vidal's inspiration started many years ago when he first read "The Cask of Amontillado" and other short stories by Edgar Allan Poe. He then started writing horror fiction and published his first story called "The Tavern." He went on to publish other stories and several books. Today, he is an avid writer of the short story genre and is known for his first-person narration. His writing style makes him unique in horror fiction.
In February 2017, he published his first novel Walking in the Shadows of Death and the Supernatural. In 2020 he published his second book The Art of Being Useful, and in 2024 The Incessant—Horror Fiction and Fantasy Tales.
Vidal has a BA and MA from New Mexico Highlands University and EdD from New Mexico State University. Throughout his career he has held many positions, to include teacher, Vice-President at a Community College, County Manager, City Manager and Principal for a Public School.
