BIOGRAPHY
Maria Keet is a professor in computer science at the University of Cape Town, focussing on Artificial Intelligence. She is the author of a number of scientific publications, an award-winning postgraduate textbook on ontology engineering (College Publications, 2018), a book entitled The What And How of Modelling Information and Knowledge (Springer 2023), a memoir (No taming of the enthusiast, Porcupine Press, 2021), and several non-fiction magazine articles that were republished in, among others, The Next Web and Mail & Guardian. She dabbles in writing short stories, besides a few other hobbies.
