Before they died the brilliant one was detected in seventy languages as the author of but two or three books of fiction and poetry, while the other was honoured in the Bureau of Statistics of his native land as the compiler of sixteen volumes of tabulated information relating to the domestic hog.

I think this story is very good

it talks about two writers on was brilliant but, indolent.

they learn seven languages.

But, it is good to have mare detaills.

it has moral because learning seven languoge is hard.

the brilliant one had books translated into 70 languages for 2 ~3 of his books.

the industrious one wrote 16 volume of information on domestic hog.

Now, this is the irony of life isnt it?
