The Boy Who Cried Wolf

A shepherd-boy, who watched a flock of sheep near a village, brought out the villagers three or four times by crying out, "Wolf! Wolf!" and when his neighbors came to help him, laughed at them for their pains.

The Wolf, however, did truly come at last. The Shepherd-boy, now really alarmed, shouted in an agony of terror: "Pray, do come and help me; the Wolf is killing the sheep"; but no one paid any heed to his cries, nor rendered any assistance. The Wolf, having no cause of fear, at his leisure lacerated or destroyed the whole flock.

There is no believing a liar, even when he speaks the truth.

The book was about a little boy who told his village that there was a wolf eating the a sheep but he was liaring but one day there was a wolf eating his sheep but know one listend.

I felt a bit scared about the wolf because the wolf ate the sheep and sad for the little boy who lost all his sheep.

This book was a bit sad so the age group should be 6-10.

I think that the story teaches you a lesson , that you should never call out for help when you dont need it.But it made me feel sad for the sheep because it wasnt there fault to get eaten by the wolf. Poor sheep!

I like this story because it is fiction and its very entertaning.

It was funny when the wolf really came and he would of been really scared.

This book is made for kids from 6 to 8 and you should read it. It is very short.

It is a good little story.

I think that is a good story. I read this
when I was a little girl and I have never
forgot this story.
I remember when my mother told me about
this story, that time was awesome.
I love this story since he first time that
I heard it. Its moral lesson is very
mportant for me, because I think is wrong
t lie
If some day I have a child, I am going to
teach him how to be a good person without
lies and I going to use this story in
order to do it.

I think it is an interesting story as it
shows that you should never lie and tell
the truth when you need to. lying isnt
going to get you anywhere better. So I
think everyone can learn from this story
as it is short but simple.

it is a very good story. i learnt that liar will be treated badly even if he tells the truth. i know another story like this. once there was an boy .He had many goats and was told to take the goats o the field and to graze. The boy felt bored and tought to play some tricks on the villagers. so he called out tiger tiger the villagers belived him and came running to rescue him but they did not find any tiger they asked where is the tiget the boy laughed and said it was a joke. it happened atleast 4 times. But the fifth time a tiger really came. The boy got frightened and screamed tiger tiger but this time the villagers did not belive and tought he was joking so they dint go to his rescue. The boy was screaming tiger tiger please help me but no one went. Then a old adviser came and asked why are they not helping the boy. The villagers said" sir the boy as been telling the same story 4 times but everytime we went he laughed that no tiger was here he was joking so now also we are thinking the same we will not belive that liar ever". The boy kept on screaming no one came. then the boy tought in his mind that he did a great mistake by fooling them. Then the tiger happily ate all the goats and killed the boy also. it was a sad story if the boy handnt told lies the everyone would come and rescue. So moral of the story
never lie. so my friends never lie. lying is a very bad habit.

Its a very good story
it teaches you that if you lied so many times, eventually no one will believe you
and dont call for help unless you need it
I love this story it shows that people will never trust you if you kept lying and that lying will cause you lots of trouble.

lying is a bad habit. no one should lie about any thing , because some times you lied about something you need people to believes you in the future, no one knows , so telling the truth is the best way to be in the save said ..

It´s a good fable, and very interesting because teach us we never said lies or play with generous people who want help us. But, in my other opinion I think if the fable had a little more drama or more values could be an super mega ultra awesome fable. Good Job Bro! You are awesome!
