The Boy Who Cried Wolf

A shepherd-boy, who watched a flock of sheep near a village, brought out the villagers three or four times by crying out, "Wolf! Wolf!" and when his neighbors came to help him, laughed at them for their pains.

The Wolf, however, did truly come at last. The Shepherd-boy, now really alarmed, shouted in an agony of terror: "Pray, do come and help me; the Wolf is killing the sheep"; but no one paid any heed to his cries, nor rendered any assistance. The Wolf, having no cause of fear, at his leisure lacerated or destroyed the whole flock.

There is no believing a liar, even when he speaks the truth.

Actually, i knew this story. its a very good story to tell us dont lie to people because nobody would like to believe a liar, even once in a while he speaks the truth. on the other side, it also tell us we must be honest in our life to keep people trust you.

It’s an old story. My mom told me when I was a child. This is a good lesion especially for children because they believe that playing with people it is fun. When a person plays with the feelings of other people, he builds a bad reputation. All lies always discover. For example, this boy said a lie many times and he enjoyed with people reactions, but when he needed any assistance from people didn’t believe him.

well .. that fable (i think ) its one of the most biggest fables .. that .. when you have already finished .. you seen that it happens in the real life .. and maybe you think that you do that and change .. maybe a little .. and lets begin been a good person .. that everybody believes you .. and feel good that the people, or maybe your frinds .. trust you ..
Try youll fell good !!!

In this fable, it is talking about a shepherd-boy how always trick people by lying to them. He would call the neighbors out shouting about wolf coming by, because the neighbors are afraid of the sheep getting eaten so they run out. Every time when the neighbors run out, he will laugh at them. But then one day, a wolf really comes. The boy tries to cry for help but people only think it is another joke so no one comes out to help save the sheep. This story is telling us, we should always be honest, if you lied about something, it would be hard for people to believe you again.

Q1: Why do they still let the dishonest boy watch out for the wolf after he lied about the wolf coming to the village?
Q2: Why didn’t the boy think of the result of lying before he did it?
Q3: Why didn’t the neighbors come out, even though they knew that he was kidding? They should at least make sure that he is really not lying.

the title of the story is not appropriate and the story is not so good the writer should add some more text and make the story long.

The writer had written it nicely but make it long.

I would like to give 3 stars out of 10 stars.

I like this story because it often occur in our life, and the way to tell the lesson is nice. It is easy to understand. People who always tell a lie are hated by many people. Also, I dont like these people. So,I dont want to be like the boy. I thought that I want to be honest person when I read this story.

I have ever heard this story. When I was a child, my mother told me this story. Then I tought I would be honest. This story is too short and easy for understanding, so I think it is good for children to learn about lying is bad thing. I hope this story is told generation after generation.

I like this story.I strongly remember that my mother told me the story when I was childhood. At that time, I could not notice the moral of this story exactly because I could not feel that in my real life. However, now I think that continued efforts are very important and makes each personality. The moral is usuful for me.

Though Ive known this fable, I thoght this has a good moral. In addition, it is easy for people to understand this moral and interesting to me.This is because I think everyone might have lied at least one time or will sometimes lie. A main character of this fable lied to villagers, and they couldnt believe his speaking. Finally, he wasnt helped abut coming a wolf. From this, we can learn that we shouldnt lie to somebody. Thats why, I think this fable is a great.

i think that this story is one of the best storys becuse it teaches us a valybel leson that leson is very important to lern Because if we keep on laing to the people we live whith or work whith then we wont be very sucsesful and people will not trust us any moreand if people dont trust us any more then how will trust us.
thats why I think this story is a good story to read and lern from.

Thank you to write this story! I love it very much, because it teaches us importance of honest. We (especially adult) tend to forget dont tell a lie.
And it also says if you do something bad, it returns to you.
