The Boy Who Cried Wolf

A shepherd-boy, who watched a flock of sheep near a village, brought out the villagers three or four times by crying out, "Wolf! Wolf!" and when his neighbors came to help him, laughed at them for their pains.

The Wolf, however, did truly come at last. The Shepherd-boy, now really alarmed, shouted in an agony of terror: "Pray, do come and help me; the Wolf is killing the sheep"; but no one paid any heed to his cries, nor rendered any assistance. The Wolf, having no cause of fear, at his leisure lacerated or destroyed the whole flock.

There is no believing a liar, even when he speaks the truth.

Therefore, whoever you are, stopping tell a lie, whereever you live, honest is the most brilliant. And you can save the true yourself.

It is nice to read and I like it even I used to read it when I was a boy. It thought me "never lie" because if you do that no body going to believe you. I learn that when I was a boy, so I always remember it. And I will never lie.

In The Boy Who Cried Wolf, a shepherd-boy
in a village told the villagers that a
wolf is attacking his sheep, but he was
lying. One he really needed help, people
didnt believe because he lied before.
the boy learned that people wont believe

Its a good story to tell children to not lie.I have a same experience. When I was child,i lied a lot to my friends,I always made a story to try to make my frined laugh and respect me,but they noticed what I said are lies little by little, then, when I wanted to talk about what really happend to me,they didny believe me.So I thought I should tel them truth all the time because I want them to believe in me.

I think this story is good for children to not lie to anyone.
If you lie a lot, people notice it little by little and think you tell only lies, then they would believe in you.I you want them to believe in you,you should tell the truth all time.

its a tragic story to the boy, because no one believes in him even though hes already saying the truth.

its a VERY SHORT story indeed, but have a BIG IMPACT on us. saying we shouldnt tell lies. love it!

I like this story. In this modern life, most of people usually tell a lie because of one result. So if a person tell a lie too much, she/he can not receive other persons forgive, and they also beleive when she/he tell a truth.

Needless to say that no one will believe a liar even if he speakes the truth. After i read this fable i rationcinate that a shepherd- boy who is the main charecter of this fable has done a mainifold mistakes. To recaptulate what happens in this story a shepherd-boy brought out the villagers three times by saying"Wolf" and when they came to help him he laughed at them. The wolf finaly comes and when a shepherd-boy shouted out no one belive him.

That was a good story.
One of the most famous Fables of the world (I think).
With an important moral: don’t be a liar.
That’s a great way to educate the children.
I learned a lot with this fable when I was a kid.

i think its a really good story, its abaut no ones believes in the boy even though hes already saying the truth. If someone say a lot of lies, when it say the truth anyone is going to believe it.
Even its a short story, have a big impact and message, saying us that its not good and we shouldnt tell lies.

People should keep their reputation good; otherwise, no one will believe what they said. Most of time, telling the truth is very important in our daily life except one special situation which is called white-lie. This story reminds me a very famous sentence that is honest is the best policy.

I think that this is a great short history. It teaches the kids to always tell the truth. Otherwise they are going to have a bad reputation and nobody is going to believe in them even if they are not lying.
