The Boy Who Cried Wolf

A shepherd-boy, who watched a flock of sheep near a village, brought out the villagers three or four times by crying out, "Wolf! Wolf!" and when his neighbors came to help him, laughed at them for their pains.

The Wolf, however, did truly come at last. The Shepherd-boy, now really alarmed, shouted in an agony of terror: "Pray, do come and help me; the Wolf is killing the sheep"; but no one paid any heed to his cries, nor rendered any assistance. The Wolf, having no cause of fear, at his leisure lacerated or destroyed the whole flock.

There is no believing a liar, even when he speaks the truth.

The boy in the story is responsible for his flock just as
a father is supposed to protect his family. If he lies
about a false threat or false problem, other people
may help at first. He laughs and enjoys how he
confuses people. But soon as they discover that he
made a joke of a terrible situation no one will help
him anymore and like sheep will be eaten by the wolf,
his family will perish and truly die when the great
problem comes. Moral: be responsible - never lie, if
you do, you die!+

"The boy who cried wolf" is a story created by Aesop with the purpose of convincing people not to be a liar. This fable is an old and good one that totally fits in our reality until today. This story may be very useful to raise a child but it is also important to adults in order to make them conscious about their acts. "The boy who cried wolf" pictures the consequence of being a liar and Im sure lots of people still havent learned this lesson. Anyway, it is a very good fable which deserves a five-star rating.

I heard this story, when i was little kid.
i think lie is necessary for our life, but frequest lie make the other people think you are liar. probably people says " you are liar. i cant trust you" so you must care about that when you say lie.

When I read this story, I felt so sad and iresponsible. because when you lie you cant bring the trust of people in you. Thats why other said that "If you lie,lie in a good situation oe in good way". This story remineds me of my freind. My friend died, because he lied too her mom. Thats why before you lie.think about whats going to happen.

"The Boy Who Cried Wolf." is a good story because it tells you how important is to speak the truth. This shepherd-boy kept lying about the wolf to the neighbors and laugh at them when they believed his story and came to help him. As a result, real wolf did came out and all the sheep got eaten. Nobody did not listen to the boy even he cried out. So, its best not to lie becuase you will lose your trust except if you have a good reason to it.

This is good story to know that how telling the truth is important. The Author wrote this story with only one side. The writer saw this issue with villagers eyes. But Think about shepherd-boy! He must be lonely. He always took care many sheeps alone. He must need attention, care, and company. villiagers should care him first. This is good story but otherwise this is sad story.
