The Fox and The Crow

A Fox once saw a Crow fly off with a piece of cheese in its beak and settle on a branch of a tree.

"That's for me, as I am a Fox," said Master Reynard, and he walked up to the foot of the tree.

"Good day, Mistress Crow," he cried. "How well you are looking today: how glossy your feathers; how bright your eye. I feel sure your voice must surpass that of other birds, just as your figure does; let me hear but one song from you that I may greet you as the Queen of Birds."

The Crow lifted up her head and began to caw her best, but the moment she opened her mouth the piece of cheese fell to the ground, only to be snapped up by Master Fox.

"That will do," said he. "That was all I wanted. In exchange for your cheese I will give you a piece of advice for the future: "Do not trust flatterers."

The fox greeted that the crow was the queen of the birds and told the crow all the nice things about her about how glossy her feathers were and how bright her eyes were.

This story was good but the crow lost its cheese and that was sad because it was its food

This book was good so it should be for ages from 6-10.

i`m from Iran, i want to say that it is
really a good story and we have it in our
elementary lessons, when we were child it
was really funny and we just noticed it as
a story but now we can get some points and
tips to use in our life.

I enjoyed this story because i found that the fox was found to be really cheeky
I would recomend this book to probably
kids under the age of 5
I think anybody over would probably think this is to short but overall this is a great book

Im from Iran, this story is in elementry lessons at
school, all people in Iran remember this story as well
but some of them dont pay attention to moral of this
story, some people like flatterers and get hurt by
them

that´s a very good story, that fox was so much intelligent, andv the crtow was very vain, this story are part of the collection of the olds fables of this world

This is an academic comment :
It was an intersting story because the form that the fox was acting it was wrong because she told lies and the bird should learn not to trust in all the thing that stangers told you.
Its a popular story although people dont really understand what it means, still people continue trusting in people that they dont really met and its terrible that people tell you all the kind off things that you want to hear but it doens´t count if all this things are lies or telling by convenience.

I think that the fox and the crow is a good story because in this world we have many foxes that they "flatters" but with bad intention and Crows that they only want to boast their things.
this story gave me an advice that we dont have to trust everyone, because some "flatterers" are jealous of you.

This an academy comment. This a famous and pretty story and is good for the kids. The story is short but it gives us a lesson of life: We shouldn´t trust strangers because we don´t know what intentions people have. We should learn to say: no.

Well the Fox and the Crow it is a intelligent fable that give you a recommendeation in the case when you have interaction with the people who wants something with people who wants something from you that you achieved with your own effort.
