The Wolf in Sheep's Clothing

A Wolf found great difficulty in getting at the sheep owing to the vigilance of the shepherd and his dogs. But one day it found the skin of a sheep that had been flayed and thrown aside, so it put it on over its own pelt and strolled down among the sheep.

The Lamb that belonged to the sheep whose skin the Wolf was wearing began to follow the Wolf in the Sheep's clothing. So, leading the Lamb a little apart, he soon made a meal off her - and for some time he succeeded in deceiving the sheep, and enjoying hearty meals.

Nowaday we are easily tricked by appearance of someone or something.
so we have to be more careful because appearance is not everything.
we should not tricked by apearance.
also sometimes we need to look deep into ourselves.

This story gives me some feelings. It teaches me that dont believe other people easily. Nowadays, society gets more and more dark and complex, to face everthing we need think about some times. To describe anyone we dont judge quickly, and we need observe and konw about them. But not everthing is bad, we still find the beautiful thing.

I think this story taught me "Look before you leap." In other words,it will be too late even if Ill notice it later. In this story, the lamb easily believe the wolf in sheeps pelt.As a result, he is eaten by the wolf. If the lamb conduct carefully, he can escape to die. Ryo

I think that the story was very interesting but a bit sad, because the wolf made the sheep and the lamb feel like two stupids following his fates. I didnt like the performence of the Shepherd inside this story, because if he knew that the wolf was around the Sheeps farm, he could hunt the wolf or just catch the wolf to put him into an animals cage.

some situation we are like a wolf if we want to achieve our goal, some situations we are like sheeps - we trust too much the person who we dont know well.
so everyone can be wolf and sheep.if you are the wolf - doesnt mean that your are bad. if you are sheep - doesnt mean that you are stupid.

At the frist time when I read this story I thought a wolf is really bad and the lamb is poor. But reading it twice I think the wolf and the lamb are us. Nowdays people really care a lot about outward appearance. And they just believe what they see. Of course outward appearance is important too. But before that we should look inside. Finally I want to say what you see now can not be the truth.

When we think a little about this story,we can discover lots of things. We must not decide suddenly about a problem. We must think enough time and then we must decide.Sometimes, real can be unreal.A sheep can be a wolf as this story. The best friend can be enemy for us.It is necessary for us to tell our secrets to the best friend. FROM ªÜKRÜ ÇILDIR

Judging a person only by appearance is not enough. Sometimes that person give us a good appearance and good imagination, but in fact he is deceiving us.

Certainly, looks and appearances are deceptive.
Remember, we have 5 senses and each of them is often necessary for the judgement. Even if the sight is important, we also need a sixth sens which is intelligence or wisdom.
The latter has to lead the 5 senses for any decision we make in our relationship.
So any being without intelligence and wisdom is often deceived.

Therefore the choice of The Wolf and the Sheep is a good one because a sheep is a type of a weak being without intelligence, and the Wolf a strong and a smart one.

in my opinion the person does not have to be gullible because in these cases the person has to be more smart with dealing with wolfs to avoid these problems, the person also does not have to trust everyone and notice everyone surrounding you.

I think that this story has a great moral, but it doesnt make much sense. However I think that the writer is right when he says that apparances are deceptive. For me, before meet a person, you have to know at least the most important things. I just didnt understand the setting of the story... I like the title very much. I think is very appropriate. I gave 3 stars for this fable. I think that 4 stars are too many. matteo

You shouldnt trust every stranger just because their appearance is good. But you should also be open-minded or you will lose the chance to meet new interesting people and get lonely.

i think the fable has a good moral because you don`t have to trust in everything...you must be sure that the other person hasn`t bad intentions.
but when you are sure you must believe in other people

You know things are constantly changing. Many defrauder is becoming active. In other words, it is no trust people in your side easily. First impression is important, but peoples inside is more important.
So, you should not judge people by the way they look.

The fable has a great moral for most of people, because it shows peoples blind spot. We ordinarily judge people by their appearance. However, we can know peoples appearance, but its difficult to know peoples mind. In sum, its not really for " To see is too believe." now.

this story is very famous but many people trust others appearance. whenever we meet new people, we have to remember this story. i think we shouldnt believe people at first time. to trust someone, we should meet the person at least twice.

I think this story is good. Because it is easy to understand, and it tell us really important thing. Although to trust someone is important, we dont forget the moral this story tells and should have eyes that can evaluate truth.

I think this fable has a good moral because we must not judge a person be his appearance and we must know this moral from early childhood.I think most of the children can understand this fable easily and its important for readers.

This fable is very famous in my country. When I was child, I have already heard this. I think everyone know this fable. People always only watch the surface. If something is not unusual, people may ignore it. The common thing also can have pretense. Sometime you may get hurt.

The Wolf in sheeps clothing is a famous fable with a great moral but even if we get the moral, nobody does it in the real life. We still worry about the external aspect of the people and never care about the inside. What does my new friend have in his or her mind? She or he might be a bad person, crazy or psychopath, who knows?
There are as many possibilities for him or her to be bad than to be good. Should take more time scrutinizing and being suspicious or go ahead? We should pay attention to the words that he or she is using. I think that could be a clue. Marcos

The story is very good and the moral is great because you shouldnt trust people who you dont now. I like the story because its good and funny. The wolf can;t wear sheeps clothes, so the story is diffrent from the other one.
