The Fox and The Crow

A Fox once saw a Crow fly off with a piece of cheese in its beak and settle on a branch of a tree.

"That's for me, as I am a Fox," said Master Reynard, and he walked up to the foot of the tree.

"Good day, Mistress Crow," he cried. "How well you are looking today: how glossy your feathers; how bright your eye. I feel sure your voice must surpass that of other birds, just as your figure does; let me hear but one song from you that I may greet you as the Queen of Birds."

The Crow lifted up her head and began to caw her best, but the moment she opened her mouth the piece of cheese fell to the ground, only to be snapped up by Master Fox.

"That will do," said he. "That was all I wanted. In exchange for your cheese I will give you a piece of advice for the future: "Do not trust flatterers."

I THINK THIS FABLE IS GOOD AND YOU LEARN TO MUCH, BUT IT IS FUNNY TOO. I THINK IT IS A GOOD EXAMPLE TO THE PEOPLE, BECAUSE WE DONT HAVE TO TRUST IN EVERYTHING PEOPLE SAID ABOUT YOU. IT IS FUNNY BECAUSE BIRDS DONT EAT CHEESE.

"Do not trust flatterers!" I think trust is very important in a relationship. When someone pays you a compliment, youd better not pay attention to it. You have to be cautious.

I like this fable because it is very common situation. I agree " dont trust flatterers." because If you hear flatterers many times, you cant know truth and decide a right thing. It is sometimes dangerous when you decide wrong. So you should protect yourself, however you remember that many people is nice in the world.

This story gives us a very good example of real life. This story teaches us about confidence in other people. First of all, the man should be self-confident and beware of flatteries and advice from others. When we trust too much in others, we can become victims of fraud.

I think this story tells us in this world, there are innocent people and flatteres. This storys tells us " dont turst flatters," but I think it is a sad thinking because it sounds like it is saying " dont trust people." Is not it sad? how about say in this way?"there are so many deferent people are in this world." I think that sounds much better than before.
